The Investigation Discovery network has announced two new series – “Swamp Murders,” debuting at 9 p.m. June 4, and “Southern Fried Homicide,” debuting at 9 p.m. June 5 — that will spotlight Louisiana crimes.
“SWAMP MURDERS and SOUTHERN FRIED HOMICIDE are just two examples of a new setting for us to explore on Investigation Discovery – murder, with a side of homemade biscuits and gravy,” said Henry Schleiff, president and general manager of Investigation Discovery, in a news release. “These are the crimes committed by the least expected: families with respected reputations and people with long-standing values to uphold, showing that evil can lurk among the moss-laden weeping willows as well as behind a thin veil of courtesies.”
Actress Shanna Forrestall, a Gonzalez native, hosts “Southern Fried Homicide,” which is filming near New Orleans this week.
