MultiChoice and Discovery Networks renew contract to carry Discovery’s portfolio of…

MultiChoice and Discovery Networks are pleased to announce that DStv customers will continue to enjoy their favourite Discovery channels on DStv – world-class factual entertainment and documentaries on Discovery Channel; great fashion and lifestyle tips on TLC; the best in family entertainment on Discovery Family; and suspense-filled, real-life crime stories on Investigation Discovery (ID).

To complement the linear channels, the new agreement includes extended video-on-demand and Catch Up hours for Discovery’s entire portfolio (including for the first time, TLC, ID and Discovery Family shows). All four of Discovery’s channels will be available to launch on DStv Now from early 2018, meaning DStv customers will be able to enjoy the best of Discovery, anywhere, anytime. On top of this, from early next year, DStv customers will be able to watch both ID and Discovery Family in HD,

INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY BREAKS INTO TOP 10 NETWORKS IN PRIME AMONG P25-54 IN SEPTEMBER; CLOSES 3Q 2017 AS #1 AMONG P25-54 AND W25-54 FOR TOTAL DAY

Investigation Discovery (ID) hit a new milestone in September, as the network broke into the top 10 ad-supported cable networks in prime among P25-54 for L+3 delivery. Year-to-date and for 3Q17, ID is the #1 ad-supported cable network in total day among both P25-54 and W25-54. ID continues to maintain a spot in the top 5 ad-supported cable networks in prime among W25-54 year-to-date, 3Q and September.

ID had its best 3Q ever in prime and total day across all key demos, delivering more than 1M P2+ in prime, marking 35 consecutive quarters of year-over-year prime delivery growth among P2+.
