CBS has officially fired Charlie Rose, the longtime journalist and television host, following a number of sexual harassment allegations reported this week in The Washington Post. A memo was sent out to CBS News staffers that reads: “Despite Charlie’s important contribution to our news division, there is absolutely nothing more important, in this or any organization, than ensuring a safe, professional workplace—a supportive environment where people feel they can do their best work. We need to be such a place.”
