NEW YORK, NY — September 8, 2017 — Time Inc. today announced that it launched a new video series for Watch, Facebook’s new platform for shows and videos. “Homemade vs. The Internet” is now available on the new Watch surface on Facebook and on mobile, desktop and Facebook’s TV apps. The first season of “Homemade vs. The Internet” will run for five episodes, with a new episode airing each Sunday.

Investigation Discovery video probes 2014 death of SIU student

CARBONDALE — A popular true-crime television network has sparked renewed interest in the case of a Southern Illinois University Carbondale student who was found dead in the woods three years ago.

Investigation Discovery, which is owned by Discovery Communications LLC, on Wednesday released an eight-minute video on its Facebook page that details the circumstances surrounding the death of Pravin Varughese, a 19-year-old criminal justice major at SIU who disappeared the night of Feb. 12-13, 2014. His body was found five days later in a wooded area off the 1400 block of East Main Street.

Reached by phone on Thursday, Varughese’s mother, Lovely Varughese, of Spring Grove, said Investigation Discovery had contacted her about her son’s case.

“When they came and heard everything, they knew this was going to be something they had to do,” Lovely Varughese said.

DeOrr’s father disputes claims in new video that he could hurt his child

IDAHO FALLS — The father of missing Idaho Falls toddler DeOrr Kunz Jr. says he would never hurt or do anything to his child, despite what his ex-girlfriend says in a newly released video.

Vernal DeOrr Kunz spoke with EastIdahoNews.com on Monday after learning Jessica Mitchell, his ex-girlfriend, made claims about him in a nearly eight-minute long Investigation Discovery video.

“I believe Deorr’s father could have hurt him,” Mitchell says in the video. “He’s living his life like it’s nothing and I’m falling apart every day.”

Mitchell and Kunz were camping with Mitchell’s grandfather, Robert Walton, and Isaac Reinwand, a friend of Walton’s, at Timber Creek Campground in Lemhi County in July 2015 when DeOrr vanished.

After numerous searches of the campground and surrounding areas, no clues of DeOrr’s whereabouts have ever been found.
